Went to the Chanel VIP Night tonight! Champagne, food, make-up, skin care and fragrances - who could say no?
This is my first time being invited to their VIP night and I look forward to next year’s event too. It was an intimate affair of approximately 15 guests. I couldn’t really take many photos but here’s one sneak shot of me.
Make-up was everywhere, perfume was sprayed all over the place, and even as I’m typing this, I can still smell the perfumes I tried on. It was a girl’s wonderland.
I wish I could’ve taken more photos, but the night was pretty busy with make-up presentations of their Colour Show on a very beautiful model. What captivated me the most, though, was the introductory speech that was given by the big boss. She spoke so elegantly, yet she was also so amiable to the small crowd around her. I take the gift of speech very seriously, and to see someone talk so well inspired me. She spoke of the history of Chanel, and how every product there has a reason behind it, down to the very design and the colour scheme. It was marketing at its finest, and I absorbed every single word.
Anyway, here is the haul.
Even the gift-wrapping is so beautiful. You see that big box right there in the middle? My older brother got that for me! It’s my Chanel No.5 because I’ve ran out. I have the best brother in the world! The black bag is the freebie bag and it contains a white make-up bag and lots of samples.
There was a Chanel No.5 Collector’s Edition that was going for $4500. Yes, someone did purchase it tonight. It was 450ml worth of the most loved fragrance in the world. Only 3 is sent to every Australian beauty boutique every year, and in Melbourne there are only two boutiques.
Now that I’m doing a Chanel post, the Chanel on Collins St. has moved around the corner to a bigger location. I haven’t been yet, but the store looks amazing!
This was really good. I’ve never had red rice before, but it was cooked nicely! The flavours of the side-dishes (from the right) were sweet then sour, and the salad dressing was very fragrant on the tongue. Good meal overall and the dishes complemented each other rather well. A bit pricey but would definitely go back again!
Was on sale for $2. I hope it’s nice.
Nice tea for a warm day like today. It’s very light, and the orange peels give it a sour taste. The sourness is refreshing, not overbearing. It smells wonderfully fragrant and the aftertaste is even better.
This is my first time trying out Greek Yogurt. I loved the thickness of it and easily beats the Yoplait Formé that I usually have. I honestly don’t know why I haven’t tried this before. I’ve only sampled the strawberry one thus far, but it left me wanting to eat the other two.
Baby, it’s cold outside.
Was stalking Marissa Mayer again.
I sweaaaar, if I ever decide to get married I want my own Zack Bogue :’)
I always did something I was a little not ready to do. I think that’s how you grow. When there’s that moment of ‘Wow, I’m not really sure I can do this,’ and you push through those moments, that’s when you have a breakthrough.
